I am new to building and tried working with this company on panellizing my house. It all sounded nice, they even got a bank to setup a loan with no 10% down through them. But, after months of no progress on a house plan from scratch, $1000 down to start, and $7000 to end business with them, they did pretty much nothing. Do not use Landmark. And, if there are others with this kind of experience, I would like to get a combined litigation on them to teach them not to scam poor innocent home builders. Start with given a window of arrival (9:00-11:00 am) showed at 11:00 telling a story of I'm late because I ran out of gas (in his trashed out pickup). This Company Needs to be stopped - I called this company for an estimate on stone work to be done in the front of my home. They were very quick to come by to provide the estimate. The salesman was very charismatic. We made a purchase of a complete King Enlivenment ET w/Perfect Day Boxsprings in the amount of over 2K and within 7 months the springs had sprung. I made phone calls starting in Oct. and was told that they did not know when they could get someone to check it out. Needless to say, I've made several emails both to the individual business and the main business with no response. I got a new GE dishwasher last year and paid $850 for it. We won't even talk about all of the delivery issues and damaged GE appliances that I refused to accept. From day one, the dishwasher did not work right. It left a filthy residue on the glasses and dishes, so I called GE about the problem. In the 2 years we've had our Hoover Wind Tunnel Vacuum, it broke 4 times. 3 times it has been the belt and one time, the self propulsion function stopped working. If you're thinking of buying this thing, don't. It is absolute junk. Hoover offered to send me a $67.00 vaccum as a replacement if I sent them my Wind Tunnel since it was off warranty. It would cost almost that much to ship the thing to them. What a joke. No more Hoover vacuums for me. The last Hoover I had lasted 9 years. Eastern Refinishing refinished my tub area in April. In doing so, they failed to remove the shower fixtures - meaning that the area behind the handles were not refinished. In July, I replaced the fixture and noticed the problem. When I called Eastern Refinishing, and suggested that they send a technician to correct the issue, the contact became indignant and hung up the phone. We have had a lot of negative experiences with Pulte's home construction. It seems they have undersized the ducts on our home and not provided appropriate dampers to adjust the airflow appropriately (it would cost about $8000 to repair that, but we have chosen not to do that). The air conditioner failed after only 6 years to the tune of about $6300. The main sink faucet valve broke as well. I bought a new office suite from the Mathis Brothers Store in Indio, on June 9th, 2008. They had 5 of the 7 pieces in stock, and promised the two remaining pieces by the end of the month. Cal Spoon was hired by the Searcy family in Odessa Texas in October of 2007 to build a new 2 story home. Instead he built a metal shell with no footing under the building. To give you an idea on how bad it is, the average footing for this type of structure, according to a structural engineer that checked the damage, suggested 2 feet at the main beams and 16 inches else ware. We bought a queen size Simmons mattress in 2005. The sales person said the mattress has a 10 year warranty. I asked what was covered? He said well if the mattress fails the company will honor it. Just used Scotts Turfbuilder with *** control last week on our lawn - which at the time was already pretty nice and green. We followed the instructions on the bag EXACTLY. Our lawn is now completely brown and burnt!! Really really mad. Wish we'd known about/read all the negative comments about this product on Scott's website before I had bought and tried it. The installer made a sharp turn as he backed out of the driveway and collided with my parked BMW 650 Ci that was on the street in front of my home at least 5 feet away from the driveway. I was out of town on the day this occured. Their office called me to collect the installation balance due via credit card without mentioning the accident. Ordered furniture through Black's Furniture on January 29th, 2008. Furniture has been delivered 3 times, and yet it is unusable: 1. First delivery - Headboard and another piece damaged 2. Second delivery - Headboard still damaged 3. Hey, I called up at 1 of the number given on flier for plumbing services, to get the Bidet filling (Fitting only) done as i already purchased the bidet, also during my call I asked for the charges but the person on phone said that they will tell the charges at the time when they will come to install the bidet, and if we not get the services done we have to pay $10 for transportation. Democo contracted to demolish a house. Democo was paid an advance of $6279 prior to start of work. The balance of $14, 718 was paid to them on completion by a second personal check on 08/25/07. Democo called and indicated that they wanted immediate payment. A Bank cashiers check for $14, 818 was paid to them on 08/07. Democo was supposed to destroy the personal check. Okay, where to begin? I've read so many complaints about Frigidaire appliances that I'm shocked! Right now, I'm preparing some paper work to sue Frigidaire in small-claims court over the vents on my 4000 Series AquaSurge Dishwasher. We stayed at the Econo Lodge located in Milledgeville, Ga this past weekend and the room was awful! The peep hole on the door was nothing but a hole in the door with GUM stuck in it, I always check the fire alarms this one did not work, the drain in the bath room took hours to drain so that the next person could take a shower, the microwave did not work, well it came on but would not HEAT up, the carpet was trashy, I did not put my bare feet on the floor the whole time.
