I build a new home in 2006. The builder installed a Carrier Infinity furnace and air conditioner which cost over $11, 000. In June 2011, the blower motor and module on the furnace failed. I bought an awning from The Home Depot. It proved to have a serious installation design flaw. Installation brackets prevent the awning from closing to within about 2' of fully closed. I had an appointment for a washing machine repair scheduled for 6/13/2011 between 1 and 5 PM. At 3 PM Sears called to say that they were overbooked and would not be able to fix the machine until Thursday 6/16/2011. I spoke to customer service. I tried the Solar PIR Motion Ultrasonic Animal Repeller for one week with the rechargeable batteries enabled, observed the red indicator light to be on. It had absolutely no effect on the 5 squirrels within 5 feet of it. Thinking that the batteries were defective, I replaced them with new alkaline batteries and tried again. Again the red light came on. I have attached a photo of a racoon within 5 feet of the unit aimed directly at the racoon. The president is great - he works intimately with the customer and addresses all the issues until it is handed off to his team of less than knowledgeable overseers. Went to the electric service board and switched on the breaker for the A/c and it started working. Someone must have switched the breaker off.
