I purchased 4 boxes of Hefty One Zip Storage bags in Sept 06. 2 of the gallon size & 2 of the quart size. I sent the UPC codes, the original receipt and the rebate forms to the address on the form. Amost 4 weeks later, I received my envelope back stating the PO Box was closed. I double checked - YES, I had the proper address including the PO Box and the zip code. This complaint is in regards to our horrible experience with Allied/Mainstream with our pool purchase and installation. We purchased our pool on July 3, 2006. The pool was installed on July 11, 2006 under a package deal. My son was in a hospital in Tulsa, Ok, and my son and I live in TN. My son did not have any money on him, so he called me collect, every day, till he was released from the hospital and I was able to drive out to get him. I was charged an out rages price for collect calls. 1 minute cost $8.95m 5 minutes cost $13.55, 22 minutes cost $33.10. My total bill was $442.60 from 9/06 to 9/16. The only Gold from this piece if crap is the gold that Sears got when it was purchased. I bought a used car with a then 5-month old Die Hard Gold battery and after cleaning the battery terminal 3 times in as many months, I found a crack in the case emanating from the battery post. I called Sears Automotive and was told to bring the car in so the battery could be inspected and pro-rated. About a week ago, on July 14th, 2006, I was in need of a graphing calculator. I called WalMart to see if they carried and Texas Instrument calculators--more specifically the TI-89. I was left on hold for over 15 minutes with no response from the electronics department. After 15 minutes I hung up and redialed the company. I was put on hold again for another minute or so when a female clerk from electronics answered the phone. Three months ago (July2006) I have taken a Reliance Prepaid CDMA at Pune (Maharashtra, India) connection after submission of proper documents. The telcom service provider company Rellaince has disconnected the outgoing calls without any intimation & now is asking for ID & address proof again. Initially all the documents has been submitted. On Jul 14, 2006 I called Enbridge Gas Company to cancel my Heating Protection Plan effective immediately. Their sale representatives transferred my call to Direct Energy Customer Service; I told her I want to cancel my plan. Direct Energy Sale Representative told me “I can’t cancel your plan; you signed up 12 months contract with us from Feb 2006 to Feb 2007. You do not get refund the money”. We moved from California to Pennsylvania on march 25th'2002. We had our stuff moved on 23rd march'2002 which we had them deliver to us on 3rd may 2002. At the time of packing and moving we took an insurance of $10,000 with 0% deductible and we paid $200 for it. When we got the stuff a few items were damaged which were then to be either replaced or refunded or repaired by them. Many 2002-2004 Polaris Virage and Gensis watercraft have warped hoods. The warp occurs in the front of the hood where the hinge is attached to the hood. The basic problem is that the hinge is stronger than the hood and when the watercraft sets in the sun the hood in too weak to retain it shape. The problem was only compounded by the Black and Silver covers that Polaris sold for several years. The black material increased the intensity of the sun. On 11/15/2005, i purchased a washer (Frigidaire model:fwsb5700ds0 serial no:xc52300870) from bestbuy. On or around 7/10/2006 machine developed a problem of slow and noisy spin cycle. Subsequently, a call was placed to Frigidaire reporting the issue. Has anyone else noticed that the Paper Plate companies, in their manufacturing procedures and packaging, actually “stick” 3 plates together “lightly” so that consumers don’t notice that when they grab for one plate – they actually grab 3 plates? The packaging says “50 plates”…or “100 plates”….but by the time you grab one plate which is lighly adhered to 2 other plates, you go through them pretty quickly – and this is wasteful to our environment. I spend my time separating paper plates so that we grab one – not three – whenever we use them. read full review »

I was sold a Wave-Tech Pool (32K) + financing for $4K in a retaining wall to support the pool. I paid $2K cash down, for a total expenditure of $34K. I have since found blogs and internet postings of over 43 complaints with the Attorney General's office, 84 unresolved complaints with the BBB. We were charged $79.99 on a recent Visa bill, from “Great Fun”. I found Great Fun on the web, called and canceled what they called a “new membership” in their travel club. I called Visa and complained about the charge. They canceled the payment, and told me that I have to be careful in certain websites, that I don’t inadvertently sign up for a club like this by NOT unchecking a box where I am agreeing to join. Do not purchase archos products! Their products are junk! When they inevitably fail, as they will, getting through to their customer support is essentially impossible, unless you have the better part of a morning to remain on the telephone. If you do eventually get through, and get an RMA number with which to return the defective unit for repairs, do not expect it to actually be repaired!! I sent in an AV500 mobile DVR which they kept for a month, then finally returned to me in exactly the same defective condition in which I had returned it to them. I purchased a Body Benefits® Compact Heated Massager by Conair, and one evening, when laying in bed, I had the massager under my behind, as the muscle was extremely tight. They said they will refund the money, but haven't done so. In April, a charge was put on my credit card that was not mine I was told to "remove it" and pay only the balance since it would be "put in dispute" and removed before my next billing. This is long but worth it. I come from a family of small business owners. My father and 2 grandfathers all owned small retail business'. When I first moved to the Southern California area I had AT&T but left them in disgust because it seemed everytime I turned a corner I would have dropped calls. I have taken a broadband connection of Airtel-India. Inspite of the payment of my bill my services have been barred and there is no support from the customer care. They behave very rudely and keep forwarding the phone from one person to other. I have been on the phone with this company for 3 days, I ordered 4 phones, they charged me for 9. The funny thing is all the phones were free including overnight shipping.
