Went on a family vacation to Las Vegas. Booked a room through Priceline.com to name your own price. Picked Sahara Hotel and Casino which said they were a 2 1/2 star hotel for $40 per night. Also, paid the hotel an extra $20 per night to upgrade. Found a pool of blood in the stairwell and pubic hairs in the sheets. I refused to stay and the Hotel or Priceline would refund my money. read full review »

I went on a Princess cruise this summer. Although these problems may seem minor, what upset me most about this cruise line is they did nothing to fix them or make me feel like I was a valuable customer. When I got home, I mailed this letter to the President of Princess and two other senior level people. I mailed this over a month ago and got no response. If you plan on sailing Princess and have any issues, dont expect them to be resolved or even given consideration for your feelings. My wife and i booked a 10 day tour of Argentina from one of the reputedly largest south american tour companies which specialize in such tours. Half way into the tour we were left stranded in the tiny airport of el calafate, argentina ( small town in patagonia)because our tour company did not pay the local tour operators or hotels for the rest of our trip. I made my $50 deposit, submitted the days and destinations that I wanted, and they were unable to get reservations. So I requested a refund of my deposit. That's when the trouble started. I waited the 60 days, and no refund. I called several times and no one returned my calls. No one in the refund department has EVER answered the phone. This week, I have left a message every single day this week, and no one has called me back. If you don't want to get your money back, go ahead and send in your deposit. I've experienced a total nightmare with the RIU Santa Fe. I booked my wedding with them. I"ve never been treated so poorly by anyone in the travel business as I did by RIU staff. They just kept telling me they didn't need anything else then would email me a couple weeks later and tell me they continue to request the same information and I don't respond. On August 24, 2009 at approximately 5pm, my prescription glasses emerged broken from the security scan (scanner 2/3) at Gatwick Airport terminal for British Airways/Iberia to Barcelona. I was so shocked and angry that I was in tears, holding up my glasses; they could not have failed to notice me. My husband was also trying to get their attention, but they were so busy verbally abusing the female passenger ahead of me that we were totally blanked. Me and my husband we were trying to buy tickets for family vacation. We dont know what happened, just in one second, "The price was accepted" that was poped up! My hus said he was writing a big money in the blank box for fun. But he didnt push "buy my ticket now" button at all!!!(why he would click it!) That was too much for us. We couldnt afford it. I have recently stayed in one of your resorts, Harbourgate Marina Club. I have to rate my stay as one star. The worst part of the whole experience was the service. I have never before received such a poor service in any hotels I stayed in from my travels in US, Asia, Europe, as I did in your resort. This event venue, took a $750 depost from my dad for my wedding.. And then completely changed management, and raised our total bill for the day $3, 000. We said that at that price point it was out of our price range and we would have to go somewhere else for our wedding.. They would not return our deposit. And that was over a year in advance of our wedding, they had plenty of time to reschedule an event for that day. Terrible company ethics! After checking in, I told the counter person that I'll checkout a day sooner and the person confirmed a refund for the fifth night since it was more then 24 hour notice. Now I am getting the run around. First they told me that I need to call expedia for credit. Expedia won't credit unless they get a credit and a confirmation from them for the fifth night. My wife, two children and I had a six night stay at Beaches Boscobel. Unfortunately, it was among the worst vacations that I've ever had. So many things went wrong during our stay, I can scarcely compile them all. Chronologically: 1) It took over thirty-five minutes for us to check-in. After two flights and a two and a half hour bus ride with a two-year old and a nine-month old, this is by no means acceptable. I recently went on holiday, for my daughter's wedding, to East London, SA. I flew AirZim from Harare to Jo'burg without any hitch. I then had a connecting flight to East Lndon on 1Time - 08 August 2009. On 10Aug'09, my fiancee and myself tried to check in for our flight to Phuket. However, I was barred from checking-in because the counter claimed my passport to have 1 day less than 6 month before expiry (my passport expiry date was 9 Feb 2010). We were shocked for the rejection to board and the very unhelpful service from AirAsia. No solution/assistance was actively shown to us who have paid for the tickets! I visited Italy last September. In 2009 approximately 7-8 months after the fact I received (three) violations from the Municipality of Florence. The infractions are electronic and were taken within six minutes of each other which would mean they were taken by cameras strategically arranged to snap your photo in a consecutive manner. I booked a flight from SFO to Dublin, Ireland by way of Atlanta on Delta. I spoke with the reservations department myself as did the travel agent from Quinn Travel (San Francisco, CA). We were told that I could bring my small cat as carry-on provided I obtain the proper health certificates. This was noted on my reservation. The Arrow Hotel is partially owned by R J and Ann Thomas. There has been an excellent restaurant and bar affilliated with the Hotel but has been taken over by Ann Thomas. This was a very hostle takeover and the restaurant owner was closed out of his business by Ann Thomas. Americinn Hotel in Hutchinson is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff were rude especially the General Manager (Brad Jacobson) The Hotel is small, Dirty, And smelly.But what got me the most was the security at this hotel. I don't know where they find people like that but he followed my teenagers around all night harassing them and hanging outside our door trying to peep inside the room. Stayed with this company and their cabins are not clean... and are not well kept. Rugs were dirty... not just soiled but when I lifted one in the bathroom up it was nasty. Batteries in remotes are not checked.. we had to move from one to another to even watch TV. Light bulbs were missing or needed to be replaced. Bulbs in the bathroom were dirty and so was the tops of the pictures and the trash can. There was trash around the grill outside. One morning around 9:30 AM, I was awoken by a greasy, dirty man in my room. He broke the latch lock off the door by kicking the door after he used his main key to unlock the dead bolt. Their reason.. They didn't know if someone was dead in there because they hadn't seen anyone going in or out and the dead bolt had been locked for 3 days. I was a guest at this Quality Inn I checked in at 1:30pm and dropped off my bags and went out. Upon returning at 10pm, I found there was no heat in the room, with an outdoor temperature of 5 degrees. The balcony door had a terrible draft and there was mold in the bathroom. I wrapped in a blanket to keep warm and called the desk. We stayed at the Sheraton Hotel on June 25 & 26 for 2 nights. On the Saturday evening I went to the front desk to ask the clerk for some towels for the next morning he told me he was to busy, so I returned 10 minutes later with my dirty towels to get new towels he again told me he was to busy. As this went on for 4 times we finely called customer service and filed a complaint.
