This is the straight story of a local heating company and their fraudulent scam attempt. I'll begin by saying the company is GATS Heating Co. out of Glenview, IL. I sent a stereo receiver to Stereo Surgeons for repair. They never provided a repair estimate as theystated they would on their website. The unit was not repaired and was NOT returned. Phone calls resulted in verbal abuse and correspondence (includung that from Better Business Bureau) was ignored. During last phone call, the owner stated he would return the unit if I paid shipping. Please be aware of this used car dealer, they will lie to make the sale and after the defective vehicle died they will do nothing assist. I recieved a letter on Aug 8, 2009 stating I had won 450, 000.00 dollars in a second catagory usa mega drawing to recieve my money I contacted the number. the claims person was very insistant that my claim be processed by the next day. All I had to do was get $2000.00 cash transferred to an acount in Costa Rica. A check was inclosed in the notofication for $4, 800.00 to help me cover this expense but it could not be cashed before I got my check delivered to me. After much going around I told the representative I would not pay money to get prize money. She hung up on me. I bought 4 antique Chinese dining chairs for $2, 000 and payed $300 for shipping/handling. What this business fails to mention is that they only ship to the closest US port, leaving the customer to go through a hellish process of paying agents to maneuver the items through US Customs, warehousing and delivery. I purchased a wide screen TV at Rex Electronics in St Augustine and it was defective. Rex came and picked up the defective one and I went to the store and chose a 56 inch Samsung. Turned out that one was defective also. The next one (sent by Samsung) was also defective. After 3 tries and 4 months, Samsung finally got it right. Bought my son a steak sandwich from Longhorn Charcoal Pit in Sunnyvale, CA. The steak had a large, thick piece of glass embedded in it. My son chipped a tooth on it. Manager of Longhorn assures us he cuts the meat himself, thus there is no way there was glass in it. There was and I have the piece of glass and chipped tooth to show for it. Manager refuses my request to refund the cost of the meal and pay dental bill for tooth repair. This is pretty serious, as anyone could have gotten the glass and possibly swallowed it! Plow & Hearth is a catalog company offering Home Living goods. I need to return an item due to an error in their catalog falsely representing the item. I have been trying for EIGHT WEEKS to have the issued resolved and the company has yet to come through on its many promises to send me a pre-paid shipping label. This company sells fake products that come severe production defects. They pretend to be a US based company with a sham address in Los Angeles, Ca and have FedEX duty and customs taxes billed to the customers as hidden charges. Zhanjin Furniture Co shipped me a broken dining fake marble table back in Sept 19, 2007 and they have resolved their claim with their vendor, DHL on 11/8 but they still haven't reimburse me for the broken dining table yet. I purchased a wireless modem so I would have internet service on my vacation to Conneticut. I went to the web site and through a chat I was informed that the device would work in Ct. That was 6/26/09. I received it in the mail and loaded the program onto my lap type to make sure it was not defective. On 7/10/09 when I tried to get service I could not. Bought 3 PL4250N Plasma TV from Bestbuy in Hoover Alabama in April of 07. All have went out since then. I have filed a complaint with HP exec level. I was able to get a board and a tech sent out on 1 of the tvs just happened they sent the wrong board and said they could not afford to send any more boards. Cell phone service is with at&t. I have fibromyalgia and there are times that I do not feel like looking at bills or anything else...very hard for me to keep up with everything. I booked a room for two nights through Expedia. When I arrive at the hotel about 3:00 PM I found out they did not allow pets. On the main page from Expedia there was no mention of the no pets. My Friend & I have been stopping at the Krystal On S. Orange Blossom Trail just south of Oak Ridge Road for many years to get the "Scrambler" breakfast.
