I went to Double M last night for the Haunted Hayrides, we had a reservation. We unintentionally arrived way before they opened and had 2 vehicles. This company specializes in installing doors, mainly garages, etc. It has friendly quoting staff and seems technically competent at basic installation. But beware its attitude to customer service: it switched installation dates with us at the last minute without seeming to care about the inconvenience this caused. My girlfriend purchased a $1, 600 stove med size woodstove. It didn't make it one winter and the flue assembly crumbled. When openning the stove properly to load wood there's a back blast of flames and heat that reach the ceiling. The service techs looked at the stove and said they would be to fix the problem.They haven't been since or called. I guess they don't back Vt Castings.We spent good money on what we thought was a good product. Now we realize that Vt Castings can't back up there own product. Bought an extended warranty from US Fidelis. Who then sold it to Choice Manufacturing Company. CMC does not pick up phones. They cover very little. They would not pay the regular labor amount, so my mechanic won't deal with them again. I have to find another mechanic. But, that won't help that they don't answer calls. Took my mechanic 2 days to get a job partially approved. They cover rental upto $100.00 and I was out of pocket $200.00 as I lost 2 days getting hold of them. I haven't had time to read many of the magazines I get, so let my subscription to Men's Health lapse and kept getting nasty letters and emails that I was deliquent. I bought a new scooter from this company. It quit running at only 555 miles while still under warranty. I did all the scheduled maintenance to the letter using high quality products. I tried to get them to fix it several times and they only gave me a run-a-round (i.e. tighten screws, adjust carb, etc. is all they said). I am not going to pay $400 or more to ship it to them. Felix Ngati represented in a claim against someone who hit the rear of of my car while I was stopped back in november of 2004. We received a settlement in August of 2005. We received enough money to pay his fees and pay the chiropractor I had to see to recover from the bodily effects of the accident.
