I don't understand how there is no other public utility competitor with Washington Gas - isn't this a monopoly? Is this legal? Purchased a Sharp LCD 42" TV model LC-42D72U exactly a year ago and it completely broke down. No picture and power, just blinking green power and OCP light. I thought I could send my wife in and not worry about her being taken advantage of here but that was definitely not the case. I had her take her car in for a front brake job but instead they talked her in to a rear one so the problem with the front end vibrating did not get fixed until they did an alignment, turn the front rotors, and tried to get me to buy tires there but I would not. I recently purchased a coffee maker (Mr. Coffee). First of all I like that this is the first coffee maker that keeps the coffee HOT! However, there is a design flaw in the carafe portion. The pour spout is curved downward, which makes it impossible to either fill the tank or pour a cup of coffee without spills. We had gutters, vinyl siding and windows installed by Empire today, well a contractor of Empire Today. We chose them as they promise quality and fast completion. The siding we ordered was on back order for two weeks; we only found that out after WE called a week later since no one called us. I had fallen behind of some of payments to Care One due to nurmerous medical problems. I signed up for a program GE MONEY offered by paying a minimum fee each month for 9 months at a rate of $16.98 every month. In the meantime they were suppose to freeze the account by not adding late fees, over limit fees etc. Of course I get another statement by Care One and again they continued to add interest rates, late fee and over limit fee. I purchased a Vox 500 gig external hard drive from eCost last May for $99 that included two $10 rebates from Vox. The rebate information stated that if I registered on line I would not have to include the rebate form with my submission. I registered and then did not include rebate forms. Now Vox informs me that my rebate will not be honored because I did not include the forms and that resubmissions are not accepted. I emailed them my info as to online registration and received no response. I feel that the rebate process as Vox practices it is practically a scam. Well altogether I have spent thousands of dollars at this furniture store. Everytime I have purchased furniture at this location I have been promised a certain delivery time and they can never meet it. I am not talking a reasonable delay I am talking, 5 weeks the first time, 2 1/2 weeks the second time, and of course the third time is not the charm it will be another 2 weeks past the delivery date promised. This morning I discovered 3 unauthorized charges on my VISA account. 2 for Grant Academy (part of Raven Media) and 1 for Blockbuster. After googling these 2 businesses, I discovered I am not the only victim of their web scam. I have never heard of these businesses nor did I authorize any charges to my VISA account. I bought a fuji camera from ecost with an extended warranty. The camera will not take pictures and I attempted to make a warranty claim with service net. They at this point will not honor the warranty. After numerous calls they take your information, put you on hold for minimum five minutes hoping I iwll go away. A simple prepaid recharge issue, I had made 2 top-ups during the day, received only one confirmation SMS from Airtel and still could not recharge by even One rupee. I entered into KFC to get something to eat on the August 1st 2008 around 9:30 pm and there were painting, drilling and other renovating work being done and customers we being served in this unhealthy condition. Customer service was very poor. There were no person in authority to supervise what was going on. when I entered the smell of the paint was so strong that some customers had to leave.
