After three years of the fed ex driver driving 10-15 miles over the speed limit in our development and tearing up our driveway by flying up it (its dirt), we are fed up! I purchased a new ST1300 in March this year and within days of owning the bike it began to surge and miss at about 100 Kph, the selling dealer can not fix it, contacted Honda MPE, bike in perth for a week and not fixed, Honda MPE have decided that the bike is ok the way that it is as well as the incresingly noisy gearbox, the bike has only done 1500 Kms now, They write that they can be of no further help. I got a horrable deal on a Dodge dakota. The only thing I thought could go wrong with it was the transmision. It had high miles so I bought a warranty. My mother in law took her Hyndai Elantra in to Majestic Auto in Tucson, Arizona for a timing belt replacement. (The belt was old and due for replacement, not broken yet.) First I must say my experience with GM is not unique. My family has GM cars throughout. Most of the problems seem to be consistent. I own a Malibu(2002). I first experienced a problem with the Rear-In Take Gasket( Had it replaced twice). Next it was in the Socket Boards for the Tail Lamps. I have a 2008 Ford Hybrid Escape, off the lot, it came with a GPS system. Don't buy it - not worth the money it gives wrong directions - called Ford from vehicle while trying to navigate thru adriondack mtn's. Does not have correct road data for ANY side roads - Ford told me they created a report go into dealership - went in - dealership had no such report, told me they have nothing to do with GPS system and basically too bad. on star is not worth the money they charge. My wife and I have been lead to highways that are closed more than a few times. One guy told me that my on star did not work in the area I was in. False. I used it before in the same area, and it worked. I also hit the on star again, and received directions from a more competent person. I received a notice to extend my (Old) car's warranty (even though I sold my old car almost 7 months ago) through Consumer Protection Services. I have a 2006 Chevy Uplander. The trim that runs down each side of the vehicle has (rusted/discolored) from one end to the other on both sides after only 2 years. The vehicle has 50, 000 miles due to the distance to my work. The dealership (Fox Chevrolet in Timonium Maryland) and GM refuse to fix it unless I pay $200.00 towards the cost because the warranty is up. I applied for a homeowners insurance policy with Amica and was denied coverage simply because I foster dogs for animal rescue organizations. The fostering I do has been minimal - three over the past five years. Two were small mixed breeds and one is a border collie. I work through organizations that are registered non-profits with the IRS and all dogs are temperment tested before coming into rescue. A guy with a big pick-up hit me sideways and totaled my 02 Solara. I loved that car. So I went to Castle in Baltimore and got an 08... same model. It's design stinks compared to my old Solara. I am 6 ft. tall and can't even see the front end of my new car as I drive. My old car was sleek and, at the time, a new design. My wife went to Napa to get a break light switch for our truck. She ask the guy from the store if he could check and make sure it was the right part. So he looked under the break peddle and took the switch off the peddle and told her it was the right part. She ask him if everything was alright. I worked as a vendor for Hertz Rental Car and was exposed to harrassing abuse for years. When I complained in a letter to the VP they supposedly fired the guy but would never re-instate my position as a vendor. I guess when you make a bad deed public, you are enemy No. 1. I was a very productive contractor who put up with a lot of verbal/degrading abuse at the hands of Hertz managers. These big corporations think they are not to be held accountable.
