Because the car had engine light on within 3 weeks and I got to know that the dealership already knew about that as the error code waw written at the top of the engine. I am writing this consumer fraud complaint regarding a vehicle I purchased from MIDWEST LUXURY and IMPORT, a.k.a. MCLS. On October 25, 2007 I traded in my BMW 530i and purchased a BMW 645ci. I own a 2000 Dodge Durango and have consistently maintained it for years with few problems. Last week while driving it a "check gauge" light came on. I took it to be serviced and was told that the engine needs to be replaced. Apparently Dodge has a defect with its Durango and Dakota engines that leads to sludge. The driving shaft has begun to break apart as a result. I am upset because Dodge has issued no recalls nor have they ever suggested that synthetic oil be used, which would have prevented this problem. I purchased a Honda Fit from lucas Honda on June 12th and I can truthfully say this will be the last Honda I buy. I was treated shabbily and was not made welcome by the organization. Beware: bills will be padded with repetetive charges. Repair hours inflated. They took 2 weeks to fix up my blown alternator and finally I have to "replace" the ECU and was charged for 5d4 hours labor then after all these checking they "found" out the radio fuses need to be replaced with additional charges. Used the pay at the pump to put gas in car. Put in $11.02 rec receipt for amount but was charged $35.00 on credit card. Called the gas station to fix this and was given nothing but attitude and called a liar. I was told that this is not possiable and that I must have grabbed the the wrong receipt. Ok first of all I know how much I pumped. I pushed the button to print receipt. Second of all even if my car was empty it would not take $35.00 to even fill it. It only has a 13.5 gallon tank. Car was brought in for a repair and was done incorrectly. Scotton's refused to correct their own mistake and make the proper repair without further charges! After refusing to simply fix their own mistake without labor charges and insisting that they DID fix it the first time, I was told to go elsewhere. Outside of an oil change or replacing spark plugs, this place is as incompetent as 'repair shops' get. In addition, their customer service is an embarrassment. We waited in line for over an hour at the Denver location to check-in with a reservation. There were approximately 10 customers in line ahead of us and there were three reps working the counters. Employees were running around and the entire operation was disorganized. Even once we reached the counter it took over 20 minutes to check our reservation, find a car and then deliver the car. On August 4th 2008, I went to Express Oil Change and Service Center at 60 willow lane, McDonough, GA for an oil change. 20 miles after leaving the service center my engine started smoking heavily, the temp needle went to super hot and my check engine light came on. Upon arriving to pick up my car that Cal-Alta was replacing the windshield on I noticed that there was damage to the rear bumper that was not there when I left it with them a few hours earlier. The cheque was issued by Lloyds Bank of London according to Dennis Coker. My husband and I purchased a car in February and by March we needed a new engine. We brought it to Toms Automotive. Spent around $2000 for a rebuild engine. Got the car back about the end of April. Went to EM's lube shop for oil change and was asked they could check my air filter. The technician wedged the air filter housing apart vertically snapping of the fastening tabs on the back of the housing-very large noise as the tabs broke that was loud enough for the other technicians in the shop to hear and all look over. I then asked if anything had broken and the technician lagughed and said not at all. Technician then pulled the air filter out dragging it through the broke housing thropugh the gap created. I was double charged by bp oil. Yes they resversed the charges after a couple of days but by then the dammage was done. the second time they put the charge through it caused me to be over drawn which caused a second item to bounce, costing me $76 in bank fees and now they tell me it will be 4-6 weeks before I get that money back.
