All I wanted was the good deal on a Nikon camera. The told me that Nikon didn't come with certain warranties, batteries, charger, etc., and then they said they would give me a great deal on these items. Turned out that Nikon product does come with the warranties, batteries, charger, etc., except I end up paying much more than had I bought it locally. They also said I would be given free express delivery. It took a week and I was charged $49.50. To return item, I will be further charged a restocking fee that makes it an even greater loss. We purchased a straight talk phone and card at Walmart. Took it outside and attempted to scratch the black off the pin number area to see the pin. The black came off but so did the pin numbers. It would be nice to see a Class Action Lawsuit against Acer for their refusal to repair a cracked lcd cover (near left hinge) on their notebooks. Acer customer support only states, "the laptop is out of warranty and they have not heard of this issue." When researching the cracked cover problem online, it is evident that this is a common problem with many models of Acer notebooks. The replacement part costs $109.00, and you have to do it yourself. This is an Acer design flaw and the consumer should not have to pay for the repair (warranty or not). Are there any attorneys out there willing to take on this issue? read full review »

I purchased a Pentax A40 last December. In November the screen just went blank. I sent it in to Pentax Service right away. Just got a call that it would cost $94 to repair. They said that the LCD screen had leaked and was due to rough handling. My wife and I are senior adults with no childern around. I recieved a camera as a gift from my husband, and he did not purchase the extended warranty. There was a 90 day warranty on parts and labor with the purchase of the camera, and that date starts from time of purchase. So, first of all be aware that if you are buying a gift know that the warranty clock starts ticking at time of purchase, not first time of use. After testing this projector I realized I could not use it for my students since even with the lights off the sunlight coming into the classroom mostly washes out the image. I have bought 3 computers from Dell at various times for my business. I usually lease with a $1 buy out at the end of the lease. My last computer was paid for in April of this year.
