I ordered a sleigh bed from Ashley furniture in April to be delivered April 30, 2006. My furniture was not only delayed but it was scratched/busted where the delivery man and he was afraid to admit the truth. He dropped the headboard but never let me know he continued to make me think my furniture was on the way. I had a purchase at Moda River Edge 1001 Main Street on around 9/2/2006 with my invoice #138704. I paid total $3209.06 which included a sofa set, dining table with 4 sides chairs and coffee table. I purchased a living room set (couch & 2 chairs) from Raymour and Flanigan in October 2005, the salesman stated how they stand behind their products and convinced me to by the"Platinum Protection Plan" for only $199.95. This plan covers five years. Almost one year to the day one of the leather couch cushions started getting faded white lines on the brown cushin. This is labeled as NORMAL wear. We purchased three pieces of granite and one cabinet all full price. The cabinet was installed with a dent in the side. We purchased a new cabinet (not a second hand cabinet). We also requested a cap to go on the side of the cabinet (this would cover the dent). However, Zabi stated he would not install the in cap. He also stated that he could not meet our standards. I bought this product in Jan 2006 and it stopped working after 3 months. I have logged several complaints regarding this and no one has come to my place and they have not tried to contact me as well. Their service is one of the worst after sales support. My sincerer advise for the people is not to buy the euraka forbes products. Their customer support is also pathetic. No one listens to us. Amoz and Thomas Lamb (owners) of Amoz-Lamb construction (Lambs Construction) are constantly cutting corners. Their work is sub-standard. I have pictures to show their shoddy work... While I do not blame the workers, I do hold Amoz and Thomas responsible. They have not followed our signed contract nor have they come close to following prescribed building codes. I bought four chandeliers from them. The quality is inferior, they came in a million pieces that I had to assemble, they don't accept returns, and THE CHANDELIERS ARE NOT UL RATED, plus the people are rude and unresponsive. I checked with the Better Business Bureau and there are 90 complaints against them during a 36 month period. I wish I had checked websites like this before I bought. 31 August 06: AEFS told us they would replace the entire freezer door and the electrical components in it. They said all the replacement parts would be sent to our home and to call them when we received them all to arrange for them to come back out and remove and replace the parts. 17 October 06: Still no door, only the small parts. We have moved into a new property in the past 3 weeks and unfortunately it has a gas pre-payment meter. I phoned British Gas to get a card to allow us to top up the meter and they assured me one was on the way, in the meantime they sent out an engineer to give us the £10 emergency credit facility. This was nearly 2 weeks ago and, after several more phone calls, I still have not received a card and now I have run out of gas. A tale about A&E Factory Service - more accurately know as A&E Factory NON-Service - for a Whirlpool Dryer in Raleigh, NC. On Sept 6, an A&E technician is dispatched to our home by Whirlpool Warranty Service to diagnose a problem with our $900 Whirlpool dryer that is less than 1 year old. Designs in Mica and Wood owner Paul keeps telling me that they do great work and can make all their defects go away but after dealing with them for over a year now it has not happened. Their employees come to our home with shoddy tools at best and are several young boys in there early 20's without training. This company has been the biggest let down of all purchases I have ever made. They gladly took my order of over 7000 dollars and said the furniture would come in six weeks and twelve would be the longest. After 5 months and still no phone call back to my enquirey, I gave up and cancelled. They told me they would give a full refund and I expected it the next couple of days. My complaint is about a furniture store in Indianapolis, Indiana. I ordered a few pieces of furniture from Gerdt Furniture in July 2006. When it arrived I was going to drive to Indy and pick it up to avoid any additional charges for delivery. However, after talking to the warehouse on 2 occasions I was told that the delivery charge would only be $35. I purchased Furniture from Bassett Furniture the wood is already rotting away and half the wood is not even stained and if it is stained it's all different colors stains. Also there looks like they cliped out pieces of the wood on some of the furniture where it should be totally flat and smooth and there are indents of circles also in the wood that should not be there at all. Upon returning from a week long vacation we discovered our new 6 month old Sears Trio refrigerator stopped working. The freezer section was fine. Everything in the refrigerator section had to be discarded. We called Sears, 1-800-469-4663 (July 15, 2006) for service as the product was under warranty. We were told they could have someone there on Tuesday - July 18th, 4 DAYS LATER! This infuriated me, it's the middle of summer, and we have no refrigerator for 4 days. I ordered a leather sofa on 7/4/2006, it was delivered on 7/22/2006. When I first sat on it, it wasn't as comfortable as I thought it would be - It certainly felt different from the display one. If that's the way your going to run things, train your employs to tell all customers that if you want to return an item, there will be a store credit issued. I purchased some draperies on Saturday, not 100% positive on the color, so I asked one of your employees if I had a problem can I return them and they said yes, They didn't say you can return them for credit. I have a Admiral...from the division of Maytag...with a burnt out motor. Machine is barley two years old...has been treated very well...not overloaded...and now the motor is burnt up. Since it is out of warranty...the cost to fix it will be the same as buying a new one. No williness from Maytag to give me even a discount on a new motor. The dining table must have been dropped, it had a huge dent on one corner – did not accept the table I’m told they would deliver a new one next week. We recently had a pool built in our backyard and hired Country Club Sod and Landscape to install the backyard irrigation system and resod my front yard with St. Augustine and my neighbor's side and backyard with Bahia. I contracted with Randall McDaniels for a room addition Feb 2005. We made two payments, one at contract signing and one after the masonry work was complete for a total of 20K plus.
