I was in Puerta Plata at LHVC from 2/14/09 through 2/21/09 and took 8 friends of whom 4 bought into the vacation club at Platinum Villa level which upgraded my level so we are all Platinum Villa level. My Wife, two kids and I spent the night there back on 2-16-09. We found the place dirty and never once seen a person test any of the water. I would like to report a complain that has caused my wife today April 1, 2009 undue harassment/vexation/humiliation when Cebu Pacific Tacloban ground personnels rudely (almost to be the point of dragging her) took her down from the airplane even with all the boarding pass and confirmed flight just to cover their mess when somebody was also on the plane without a boarding pass. We rented a hotel from them on Valentines Day. The first room key we were issued went to a room that was already occupied. They gave us a second room, but while we were out to dinner, we came back our room was occupied by someone else. They had no more rooms to offer and we were out on the street at 2 am and the only explanation was that "The Manager checked your room and didn't see any suitcases so he rented it to someone else." I booked a one night stay through Marriott.com (not Expedia or Travelocity), and a week in advance of our arrival tried to cancel the reservation. I have learned that Marriott will not cancel online reservations any later than one day after the reservation is made. I spoke with reservation persons at both the Bethesda property and the national chain, and was told repeatedly that nothing could be done. This is the weirdest cancellation policy I've ever encountered in all my years of business travel (here and abroad). After attending a presentation, we were given (2) vouchers to send to VIP Travel. One voucher for Air Travel, and one for Car Rental.
