I purchased a MD7820u Laptop for $599.00 as advertised with 4gb of DDR3 memory and an ATI RAdeon HD3650 Graphics card. But actually the MD7820u ships with $GB DD2 memory and an Intel GM4500HD Graphics chip. Have contacted Gateway and they say that I need to deal with OfficeMax to resolve the issue. OfficeMax say they willnot except open box for return. Also would like to mention that this is not the only error the MD7822u, MD7826u, also report different specification. Called at 11am PST to verify the video card I wanted was in stock and the lady on the phone said it was and if I got the order in before noon, it would ship the same day. Not two minutes after I put down the phone, I had ordered it online. I bought the Hp dv6000 around a year ago. It never worked properly. From day one I could never hold a charge for more than 30 minutes. Then about 4 monthes ago, my wireless card wasn't working, my nvidia card was wacky, etc. I managed to pull my pictures from it and called Hp. I recently ordered a 1.33 GHz iBook G4. Found them via Google Shopping and saw they had the best non-eBay price on a machine. Order was processed and shipped within 24 hours, and arrived in the condition described. 24 hours later, I've checked out just about everything and I'm very happy with the machine. The information on the "My Account" page of their site doesn't update very often, and one of the phone numbers on the site (800 number in the invoice) is wrong. I ordered a baebones P3 several months ago from ACS. I have not had any problems with any of the equipment that I purchased from them. I purchased the ADT 350Mhz computer back in April of 1999. Not only did I recieve a cheap built computer, but the Pentium II processor installed was re-called and I never recieved anything concerning it. When my computer finally died, the repair shop told me, they nolonger made those processors or the mini boards which where installed. I have purchased four systems from Adrenaline over the past year. They do an outstanding job and really seem to understand overclocking. Although I continue to shop around looking for the best price, I always use Adrenaline as a referance to judge the price vs. service and return. In October 2008 I purchased a Dean Markley PT-13 Chromatic Tuner from Guitar Center in Illinois for $59.99. Shortly after purchase, one of the tuner's LED lamps began behaving erratically, then stopped working entirely. Also at times the tuner "freezes" up and fails to operate at all. This company changes their interest rates to the up category at their pleasure . one month it is 11.900 the next month it is 11.925%. A $39.00 late fee is tacked on if the payment is received after 5P.M. on the due date, even if you are paying double the amount due. Sending off an e-mail to both, inquiring about military discounts, and received a near instant reply from Addict. I'm still waiting to hear from CyberPower. I purchased a case, the El Diablo from NewEgg. It shipped with what I believe was a manufacture defect. The fan blade on the large 36mm fan had what looked like a flaw in the plastic the fan was made out of. Lke there was an interuption in the molding process when the fan was made. I purchase a Compaq CQ 50 laptop in June 2008 and I have had nothing but problems with the laptop and company. First the power adapter pin was loose so I had to get it fixed, I sent it in to be repaired. When I received it back I worked for a while then for some reason it still wouldn’t charge so I returned it again to get repaired. SHARP knows that there is a problem with the LC-37D6U Audio going out and the set that I have was given to me as a gift. The audio had already gone out on it. My friend gave it to me instead of placing it in a landfill somewhere. I am trying to get a replacement AV unit to install in the set and SHARP wants to send me to a repair center. The company sends a contractor (russian guy). Comes in and starts drawing a picture of how electrical circuits work to justify his exorbitant prices. Put in the electrical outlet and to my surprise the price was $600 dollars. Said my meters need to be switched out and the price for that is $1500 dollars. Do we live in the same world? When did electrical equipment become this expensive? Be very wary of this company. I did order a Blackberry Storm mobile phone from them. Transferred GBP 240.- to them via Western Union. The contact person was Mr. Alan Pepple. After trasferring the mony I received a message from them stating that they would not sell a single unit, but made me an offer of buying two more units (+one free) if I sent additional GBP 550.-. I sent them an e-mail requesting them to stick to the orginal agreement and have urged them twice to send me shipping information but with out success.
