The Grundig I've had for less than 6 months has broken down and I can't get anyone to fix it because the service agent (United Electrical and Bush in Australia) does not answer e-mails or follow-up calls. It has been 4 days now and three attempts to get my warranty honoured. Let me tell you those outside building you can buy already built are better than a doublewide we got from Oakwood. At the time they knew we need a home, but that is what we wanted a home not a falling apart piece of junk. They kept telling first oh you can get this big house, than we ended up with a small doublewide that looks like kids put it together with staples. When I returned the last call (by caller ID) to confirm the information that I had been given, I was informed that I had been bumped from your schedule. When I first walked into Rooms Today(recently changed to American Signiture Furniture in MI) I was impressed at how nice the furniture looked, and how "well" it was priced. I found the perfect couch right away, and also purchased a bunk bed for my children. I asked numerous times how sturdy their furniture was and whether or not that had had many complaints. I got Riddex plus to get rid of bugs in my apartment, 2 months now and the bugs are still around. Now I have to smell the fumes of the spray. A company should not be allowed to sell a product without science proof about their claims. Instead of paid off statements from who knows who. I went to the site I paid to get the product to file a claim, there is no where to file one, tried to complain about this product to the 1-800 number I am told this number is for only ordering the product. DRYWALL The drywall of the residence appeared 'Wavy, and not straight' when Pulte was advised of this problem we were advised the drywall on the lids (Ceilings) of some rooms would need to be replaced, some rooms would be floated, and re-textured. I hired them to build me a sunroom, I signed contract in Oct, and down payment paid 30% Nov 7, 2007. Make first payment on Jan 23, 2008 another 50% they start to build deck, April 2008 room still not complete. This company hires sub contractors. What a nightmare - ceiling leaked, some window didn't work well, put screw with head's sticking out on floor, worker show up when ever they feel like it. AlertUSA, a lifeline company, located in NYC. Dealing with a Joe Garcia. Lifeline company: think "Help, I've fallen and can't get up", lost my return of their equipment. They automatically charged our credit card to continue a service we cancelled. Fortunately, as the card had expired, and they didn't have the new one, payment was stopped. Is anyone else with a Sears Kenmore Trio Elite going crazy by hearing a constant high-pitched hum whenever the refrigerator "kicks in"??? I realize all refrigerators hum or make some sort of sound whenever they kick in to adjust temperature, but really, this high-pitched noise is enough to drive anyone to the nut house! We purchased top of the line hardwood flooring from Expo. Three months after they installed it, floor boards started to curve upwards. The installer claimed it was our fault and asked us to repair adjacent patio to solve problem. We did as asked, had the installer back to replace curved boards. Same problem happens immediately. A contractor laid tile on three different rooms leaving cracks between the tiles. I've tried several times to get him back out here and he won't come back. Not only the cracks, but he did not put my molding back on. I can't find the molding anywhere. Some tile in the kitchen is lower than the rest. Looks terrible. He also cheated me on the money. I also had him to build a wall in my Florida Room. He had to jack the beam up and when he proceeded with this, he tore up my roof. Agreed to purchase bedroom furniture from J.C. Penney (somewhat hesitantly), agreed on a date for delivery. We did our part to prepare the room. We were given a window of 4 hours (all of which was during the work day which required someone to take off). The bottom line is that George Moving and Storage (contractor) called 4 1/2 hours later to say they were ready to deliver the furniture (in the dark and in the rain) at 9:40 pm on a Friday which we refused. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY: My original alarm company sold to this company, the claimed I signed a contract with them and that I must continue the service even after the alarm system is inoperable. Do not have your payments taken out automatically from your account because it is hard to track down where to stop the payments. I never received a contract and is still waiting for them to send one. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General about their deceptive practices. My order of H2O Mop, steam cleaner, purchased in Canada from Thane.ca, arrived promptly. The operating manual, screws, spare washers were missing. I requested already 3 times thru email to forward the missing parts, however, I had no response. The Customer Dept phone is perhaps non existent since it is busy ring regardless when you call. Further, the handling and postage is 1/2 the price of the machine, in Canada H & S $50, which is not acceptable. The information on the Sears site shows that the Sears mower #88921 has a 3 year warranty however the documents included with the mower shows that Sears only gives a 2 year warranty. The mower shows up on the Cub Cadet site (I think they make this mower) and the MSP is only $499 with a 3 year warranty. Why is the Sears mower $599 (on sale for $499) and only a 2 year warranty and come to find out to get a 3 year warranty you have to pay an additional $99. I placed 2 baby items on Layaway @ K-Mart on 26 Feb 08, made an over minimum amt. due payment of $40.28. I have paid $50.00 for each subsequential payment with the exeception of the last payment which was $20.00. I checked with an associate and she stated that my balance due is $68.00. My house was constructed in 1995. I decided to use Georgia Pacific PrimeTrim which had a 30 year warranty instead of natural wood trim board because this stuff was supposed to be more durable.
