On April 8, I had a service call to repair my Kenmore Classic Range. The service man came out and checked the range (vintage 2003) and advised me that it needed a new "sub clock/TI" and "Element-BR". I authorized the repairs as I needed the range. He said that the parts would have to be ordered, but would probably be in by Thursday or Friday. After he left, I realized that for what I was being charged, I could buy a new range with a full years warranty instead of a 90 day warranty for repairs. The key pad for my Dynammite handset is creting problems from the beggining when the no. digits on the pad are getting detatched from the handset and falling down .ANd that is happening within the warranty period. My complaint is about NYCHA I had my door kicked or hit with something while I was sleeping on 1/11/07 and housing is charging me for the door $629. I called the police and made a report and had to call the FDNY because the door was jammed and I was locked inside and they came and opened the door but, the door was destroyed. I purchased the bottom freezer refridgerator with top French doors. Since day one the icemaker didnt work. Six months later and 6 service calls later it was fixed. Now one year later the icemaker doesn't work again. The approved LG technician was called and told me there was a technical bulletin reference an "upgrade" done to the icemaker due to numerous problems. LG 's attitude today is too bad so sad. GE Rebate Scam Even though all the information was submitted with a legible copy of the receipt they say it is invalid because they couldn't read a very legible copy. Even though my e-mail and home address were provided no contact was made by GE. GE Profile rebate was advertized as $500 which suddenly became $300. After a long phone call I got to a customer service rep who told me I would get a check in 12 weeks. Repair man was on time. He took approximately 1.5 hours to locate a "loose connection" to the compressor of the ice maker and once he tightened the wires, the ice maker worked fine. I purchased a bathroom vanity and mirror/cabinet which mounts above the vanity. All the screws holding the door hinges on were stripped when I received it. No instructions were included either.
