I puchased an extended warranty on my washers i bought from sears and they have had to come out a few times. I told them it was for a business and that we do laundry for 17 Cabins which are not rented out all the time at the same time. Each time they have had to come fix them it takes 2 weeks to come out then they have to order parts. I called Travelex Money Transfer to ask them if they charge a commission fee when they exchange currency. They said they don't. They also told me that they will not charge a service fee on my money. I suppose it was our fault for not checking the small print, but we missed a flight from Athens due to a (separate and independently booked) flight on a different carrier being canceled due to technical reasons. Stranded on a Greek island - not as nice as it sounds unfortunately! We were not covered (domestic flights not being considered public transport).The person on the phone was not sympathetic to our plight, merely stating, 'sorry sir you're not covered!'. My advice is to never purchase an AXA travel insurance policy from AXA or Essential Travel, not now or in the future. Their policy was not worth the paper it was printed on. Select Insurance are part of IGAS & White Horse Insurance Ireland LTD. They have a clause (19) on their insurance policy stating that if you have any alcohol whatsoever and you have an accident & need to claim whilst still having alcohol consumption in your body your claim is invalid, this was not highlighted to me when purchasing the policy. Adrian Flux Travel Insurance never passed on my details so when I called for assistance I had none. I had no calls back to me after 24hrs so decided I had to make my own arrangements. I don't have a credit card so drove my car home from Germany and caused £13, 000 of damages. Ombudsman has confirmed Flux are at fault and awarded me £200 for a clerical error.
