Two Worlds United
Ricardo April 9, 2009
I filed a complaint last summer with the Better Business Bureau against Two Worlds United which is a company that arranges cultural exchange and summer abroad programs for students. I also contacted the Department of Consumer Affairs and the Attorney General's office. The BBB gave them an "F" rating, something I didn't learn about until after our bad experience. They're description of an "F" rating is as follows: We strongly question the company's reliability for reasons such as that they have failed to... read full review »

Value Glasses
Ian April 9, 2009
I recently made an order to get glasses online w Valueglasses.com on 10-20-05. I was then sent 2 e mails stating that my Pupilary distance was missing (the distance between the left & right pupil in millimeters) from my order. So I went to the eye doctor & got it & sent them an e mail stating with my pupilary distance 2 days later & no one has responded. I sent SEVERAL e mails to them & I got NO response. I went online to confirm my order & the webpage stated that I needed to put my e mail address in to get my... read full review »

Amoroso Tree Service
Keith April 9, 2009
We hired Amoroso Tree Service, supposedly a licensed, insured tree service to remove trees from our property. Without permission, Amoroso drove on our neighbors property causing ruts and damage to their lawn. When we originally spoke with Amoroso-he stated that the damage would be corrected. Unfortunately, Amoroso now told our neighbor that we had given permission for them to go on the neighbor's lawn and refuse to pay or repair the damage caused. Amoroso has not responded to phone calls or letters. read full review »

Acai Berry Detox and Life Cleanse
DIA April 9, 2009
I also ordered the products and actually called (wrote myself a note of the last day to do so) to cancel. Too bad--had already been charged $87.13 twice. Two numbers appeared on my bank statement--try these. 866-955-8531 and 866-955-4107. I got through, but after talking with the first customer service rep. was told I couldn't talk to another supervisor because I had already asked to be transferred--also hard to understand becuse of poor English. I never got one of the bottles and they agreed to refund me for one, because I was REALLY... read full review »

I bought this course for 300 USD and when the tapes reached me, one of the tapes was found defective. I contacted the owner of this site called Mr Gerald Oddonnel who is currently trying to potray himself as The One as in the Matrix claimed to have shipped me a replacement which never reached. I never got a replacement as claimed and also when I started using the tapes I found them to be useless . They are nothing but brainwave synchronization and masked by some affirmations . I recommend no one should buy this. This is a fraudster... read full review »

Alpha International Business
Jasmine April 9, 2009
I purchased 2 sticks of 512 MB Ram for $74 on 11-27-05. I received it on 11-30-05. It was defective. I tried contacting the company both on their tech support line and their tech support. They don't answer their phones, ever. I also sent them emails. They don't answer those either. I just want a refund. I would plead with anyone considering buying from this company to buy elsewhere, even if you have to pay a little more. read full review »

Armstrong laminate flooring
Tamara April 9, 2009
Armstrong Flooring will not honor manufacturer warranty on a defective laminate flooring product. Said product was actually discontinued due to known defects. A Local Carpet One franchise was hired to install an Armstrong laminate hardwood floor in 2001. The floor was designed to be installed by sliding planks into place in a tongue-in-groove fashion and gluing together (different from the current locking laminate products). After one week of product "acclimation" and then installation, there were problems. In a... read full review »

Why if the company wants you to pay them for your defalted bills are they so rude on the telephone? Not answering any of your questions and asking a hundread or two of their own seems to be their way of doing business. If they would treat each of their calls with a bit more respect perhaps they would get a bit further on their collections. Just an observation. read full review »

Tony's Pizza
Ken April 9, 2009
We went into Tony's Pizza in Mooresville on 1-17-06 at about 6:30 PM. We ordered 3 drinks, wings, mozzarella sticks and a medium pizza. Everything was good with the wings and the sticks. Then the pizza came up. When I took it to the table we could see the cheese was all clumpy and did not look like a typical pizza would. Reluctantly we decided to try it and as we thought it tasted terrrible. I went up and talked to the guy behind the counter, not sure of his name a bigger guy with thinning hair. I told him the sticks and the wings were... read full review »

Blue Sky Specialties
Jack April 9, 2009
This company sells poor quality products and does not guarantee their work. They do not even respond to calls that require repairs. They sell expensive products, do poor installations and then simply walk away. They will not respond to the Better Business Bureau complaints either. I purchased a vanishing screen door for french doors at $600.00 from this company, within months it started unraveling and falling apart. Even though I called and emailed repeatedly, asking for repairs that I was willing to pay for, they never... read full review »

DJM
Gigi April 9, 2009
This company is so full of themselves. I also have had 3 bills show up on my credit card. I called after each charge showed up, was told they would go away, and Surprise! Another charge showed up. I finally called, asked for a supervisor, told the supervisor that I was turning the company in to the Better Business Bureau unless my charges were taken off immediately, right then. He told me that he could not do that, I said no problem, and told him that my next phone call would be to the BBB. He assured me that my charges, all of them, would be taken off that day. I checked my account two days later, and the charges were all removed. BBB works! read full review »

Fisher Investments / Ken Fisher / Fisher Investment Management
Suzanne April 9, 2009
This firm's sales people promised that Ken Fisher and his staff would be able to see the bear market coming and that they would get defensive with my investment dollars when it happened. They have virtually stolen hard earned money from me and from thousands of investors. They take your money, take their 1% plus per year, and do nothing for this fee that can't be done with a group of low cost ETFs or mutual funds. They are very smart, their sales people are incredibly slick, and are counting on the greater fool theory. Beware. read full review »

We have consistently paid that amount every month for over 3 years, along with our payments - always on time. Our credit limit steadily went up. Dealtree/Best Buy auctions on eBay

I bid on and won an auction on eBay from Dealtree. The product was being shipped from Texas. During checkout, tax was added to my purchase. When I sent an e-mail questioning this, especially since I am a tax-exempt reseller, they indicated that they could not accept tax-exempt certificates and that I would have to take it up with the taxing authorities in my state. Refinancing for a lower rate, not hurting, but it would be nice. Began process in January of 2009. It is now April 9th and I am told papers are ready for me to sign. But, the Estimated Closing Statement I got two weeks ago, and the one from today do not match - even close. Aside from teh additional $750 in costs, they now demand to pay 2/3 of the cash out ($18, ooo) to my student loans. This is an account of our experiences with United Financial Systems, a company that we turned to to help us manage our credit card debt. There are many companies out there today who offer this, and by their website, UFS looked like a good choice. While using them we found out that: 1) they don't send you a statement showing how much they paid your creditors or when-- EVER-- unless you ask for it 2) they take your money out of your bank account every month on the same day, yet their payments to creditors vary widely, and sometime... read full review »

I tried to get out of my contract last year, so I paid $344 to get out at 30 months of my 36 month contract. Now, they say I didn't cancel correcly and have to pay the final 6 months. WHY WOULD I PAY UP FRONT $344 IF I WASN'T CANCELLING!?!? I asked the supervisors if the employee that cancelled my account was still working for them, and she is not. Go figure. I got lied to and it is now costing me an additional $180 to "fulfill" the contract while not having service for half the life on the contract. Very bad business, and a very upset customer that hopes others think twice before using "Safe Home". read full review »

I was recently asked by RCI Points to pay what I was told was a discounted rate for Points for one year. This amounted to about £400 for about 56, 000 points. This amount is similar to what I used to pay as a Maintenance charge for ownership that had entitled me to the same number of points.
