ABSA VF Consultant Jackie has been contacting me in an average of 4 times a day demanding payment, which i have already made and faxed and e-mailed the confirmation to ABSA. She is rude, she shouts, threatens to take my car and is generally unpleasant and requires training if she is to deal with clients. She hangs up while you try to explain yourself, she harasses you. There is nothing further that I can do. The money was transferred and I have all relevant documentation in this regard. Is this how ABSA staff treat paying customers? AAA recommended the VIP plan to me, due to a car accident I had. This plan sent me to the Hertz location located in Henderson. Nevada. I purchased a used tire for $48.00 from this business. At that time there was a large stack of tires in front of the business, covering the hand-written sign that says "no refunds, no exchanges, no warranty, no arguments." If I had seen the sign, I would not have done business with this firm, which obviously prides itself on taking advantage of people. They repaired Air Conditioner on my 87 Ceev. ElCamino on 5-25 -05, cost was $932.24. It worked for 4 mo.Again on 05-14-07, no charge, lasted 4 mo. We made a reservation through these guys via their website, the content of which extolls the virtues of their simple, hassle-free and low-cost service. Nowhere on the website does it in fact mention that you will be charged a minimum fee after engaging the reservation process. I have been going there for years. They were wonderful until recently. Bill, the owner was great. He always took time to explain things and seemed generally concerned about keeping his price low or at least competitive with their prices. The only complaint I had with them until then is that it usually look a lot longer to do things than they estimated. I too have been scammed by owner Micheal Brockman's fictitious company. Check out the street view picture from Google maps of The Wheel Company, it tells the whole story. His proffesionally designed website will suck you (and me!) into believing the company is legitimate. He has no intention of sending you anything, he has nothing to send you, the whole thing is a clever hollow scam. Michaels Auto Sales, Hollywood, FL sold me a car which was shown to have defects on the inspection report, however they withheld this info from me in order to close the deal. Car was inspected 12/13/08 and they told me over the phone it was in perfect shape. I bought it 12/16 and discovered a fuel leak on 12/18 which cost me $436 to repair at Maroone Nissan of Miami who said fuel line had been tampered with when someone tried to repair it with plastic tape, so warranty was no longer valid. Purchased 2006 Gulf Stream from Camping World, N. Charleston in December of 2008. We've had to take in in for warranty work twice and each time they have kept it 3 to 4 weeks. We're talking simple repairs here. This time we were told we could have it back in two weeks, but they are waiting for a simple A/C part which is taking three weeks (so far) to get in. My car dealership referred me to Aztec Rent-a-Car for a loaner car. When I returned the car, the clerk noticed minimal damage on the back bumper consisting of a small ½” x ½ inch patch of black paint missing. A year ago National forced my partner and I to drive a rental car, full of broken glass, back to the airport. This is after making us spend several hours in an underground parking lot waiting for answers. We offered them witnesses, we offered them photos, we offered them a simple peace making of a new rental car this summer. Communication games, no results. I went to Nation Auto Plaza on June 16, 2009 and purchased a 4 dr Jeep Wrangler. In discussing the price of the vehicle I told them that I would purchase it only if the price out the door was $25, 777 and they gave me $4000 on my trade in, they also gave me 21 days to get a $1000 down payment. I took my car in to State Wide Glass in North Grafton, MA to have the windshield replaced. It was to be put thru my insurance. They called to tell me that it was going to be a bigger fix than just putting the windshield back in and was going to cost an extra $600.00. If you have had work done here and have had a problem please call the Attorney General's Office in Worcester, MA, the Division of Standards in Boston and the BBB in Worcester. Less than 15 days late on a car payment and I receive calls daily harassing me for money. According to the people who phone, this is HMFC's policy as it is computer-driven. You actually start getting calls 6 days overdue. By 15 days we were getting up to about 12 per day. My son purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2004 Acura TL from Sterling McCall Acura in Houston. A short time later the rack and pinon (steering) failed, which they "offered" to pay half of (probably their cost). There are cars on the road from when rack and pinon steering was invented that have not seen a failure.
