freegasredemption

I've been submitting my necessary $100 receipts each month and never receiving my $25 gas cards as promised when I bought my Jeep in May 2008. I've received May, June and July gas cards but none since that time. They no longer have a website and phone numbers don't work. read full review »

nissan sa
Magdab February 17, 2009
When driving back from holiday our Hardbody Double cab 3l Diesel lost power. Bakkie was towed to Klerksdorp Nissan on 03/01/2009. First result was that whole engine need to be redone for a cost of +/-R85000.00. We didn't accept and refer to Nissan SA. After another investigation-miraculously the whole engine didn't needed to be redone-there was something that broke off, damaged the engine-what?Klerksdorp Nissan didn't know. They dragged so much that an engineer from Nissan SA drove to Klerksdorp to investigate. After this we got... read full review »

HBF Comprehensive Insurance
Russell Farr February 16, 2009
Despite their claim "Our focus on members, not products" their comprehensive car insurance is not comprehensive at all. They misled me to think replacing my windscreen was covered, and when I had it replaced, I had to pay the full bill. When I took this to their manager, Sandra Taylor, she was rude and abrupt, and told me that it was my fault I wasn't covered, and that I should take my business elsewhere. Which is what I am in the process of doing. read full review »

My wife rented a defective car from Budget Auto at the Milan (Malpensa) airport. The car broke down on the Auobahn and she was later charged $1500 to repair the defective auto. Since this is an international airport car rental they knew she was leaving Italy and would have a difficult time to prosecute them. read full review »

i bought this 03' crv used in sept. '06 . it has been nothing but a pain. i carried it in to be checked for a rattling in it. they replaced the tires & fixed a handle that was falling off due to a lost screw. after that air conditioner locked up & had to be repaired. the day i drove it home it ran hot & had to add water which we discovered was bone dry. i should had seen the red flag on this car. it was not getting the gas mileage that it should. it was using like a quarter tank to go 7 miles. i went back to ask them to... read full review »

Faulkner
Colleen February 12, 2009
I purchased a 2004 Nissian Sentra from Faulkner of Quakertown in May of 2008. By October my engine had blown up. When I took it to Faulkner they said it would be covered by the factory warranty and sent it to a Nissian dealership. This Nissian dealership informed me that Faulkner had brought my exact vehicle in there a couple months before I bought it with the same problems and they had told Faulkner then that the warranty had been voided. Of course Faulkner denied all of this. The Nissian dealership also noted that the mileage was possibly... read full review »

Received broken new, but badly damaged taillight for my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Emailed Doctor Auto Part -recieved no response over 2 day wait. Called their 1-800 number twice only to be told to leave a message - no returned calls. Their website says all packages received damaged have to have claims filed with the carrier - FedEx says that the shipper must file a "waiver" in order for them to file a claim for the recipient. So without contact with Doctor Auto Parts yer screwed. This was the worst online business I have experienced in years of online business. read full review »

This "$150 gas voucher" was advertized to attract people to a timeshare presentation. Here's the deal...you send them $5 for postage and handling of the gas cards, then send them $100 in gas receipts per month from the same gas station, and they'll send you a $25 gift card to that gas station for every month you do that. They claim it has to be from the same gas station because the only way they can get the gas companies to agree to give out these cards is by showing that they're building brand loyalty. At the last month... read full review »

Fine Lines Autobody
Anne February 12, 2009
After my car was hit by falling trees during an ice storm, I went to Fine Lines on the recommendation of my insurance company. What a mistake. All the people I dealt with on the phone were extremely rude. They were very uncommunicative as well -- I was constantly having to call them for updates since they never called me. The technician who did the initial repair estimate didn't even bother to do it correctly. After I was told by my insurance company that the car could be repaired, I called Fine Lines to get an estimate of how long it... read full review »

I purchased 4 tires from NTB after being told I would receive $500 in gas with the purchase of 4 tires. After signing up for this promotion I discovered the "painful" process required to get the gas redemption. Basically I had to spend $100/month in gas and then submit my receipts. I have contacted Secure Gas Redemption many times. Sometimes I make contact with them but other times I get a message "the number you dialed is invalid." Whenever I do talk to them they are very apologetic and tell me I will start receiving my ga... read full review »

I have been to some pretty sleazy places for car work but these guys top the list. I took my wife's car in for front break pads to be replaced and have the rotors machined since they advertised a good price. What was originally $99 to have the mentioned work done, sprang to $360 since the fast talking, pushy font desk guy insisted that they needed to add shims and a whole bunch of other stuff to the car so the job would be done right. I took the car instead to Sears and had everything done for $140. I called and asked Just Brakes why they... read full review »

Monroe Tire Muffler
Peaved February 11, 2009
Took car there to have old tires replaced with new ones I bought off tire rack. They put a nice scratch on my rim and balanced my tire three separate times and still couldn't get it right. Even though the guy who did it drove it said they were good and balanced they weren't. I got on the highway and had some serious vibration. I finally got tired of dealing with these incompetent idiots that I took it somewhere else and they showed me how far off the tires were out of balance and fixed the problem. Don't go there even if they seem like a good deal. read full review »

GAP NONPAY February 9, 2009
We purchased a GAP policy with a local dealership for a 2006 Ford Focus. The vehicle was totaled in DEC 08. There was an extension on the vehicle for a month but that was it. Based on their policy of using an amortization calcuator and utilizing the lowest of the payment history versus what the bank paid off. Their policy is to utilize the lesser of the two. Which means with the bank using the NADA value of the vehicle for example: $10, 100 and your payoff is $11, 000. You would think the GAP would pay $900 off. WRONG!!!
