They call you and say you're approved but need to come in and sign another contract. Complained of a wheel bearing failure on my 2005 Subaru Outback. My service ad adviser was named "Mike". I was charged $98.95 for the diagnosis and told that "all 4 tires cupped". For starters I own a 2008 chevy malibu 4 cylinder. I was just at this gas station and I asked the attendant for $25 worth of super at $3.13 a gallon. I had a quarter tank of gas already. Not worth the hassle to get a tow from CAA. I purchased the "Gold" Membership as my family has a 5 year and a 6 year old car. My first call was 2 weeks after the purchase. I had a flat tire and the car would not start. I have a 4.6 L V-8 in my Mustang GT. The intake manifold cracked causing it to overheat and almost 1300.00 to repair. I recently rented a car from AVIS at the Orlando Airport. The car was reviewed when I returned it on Feb 1, 2010 and I received a 'receipt of return'. The employee stated the car was fine and I didn't need anything else. I just received a letter 2 days ago dated Feb 19, almost 3 weeks after the car was returned stating there was excessive soilage damage in the car and they are going to charge my credit card $250. I purchased a GIP Diesel fuel in France. Almost immediately my car started playing up, the car went into 'limp home' mode. Power was lost and speed severely restricted. These symptoms remained until the car was filled up with a fresh tank of Esso fuel - when the symptoms virtually disappeared. Clearly I'd been supplied with some VERY inferior fuel.
