The company does not have a Virginia contractor’s license to date 3/22/07. They also did not have an Alexandria City license to do work in Alexandria, VA. They abandoned our hardwood flooring installation and tried to collect 6 months after the job was started and not completed. They used different flooring and stairs that was on the estimate. I vacationed in Cancun in mid December 2006. At the airport I was approached by a representative of Moon Palace and promised a couple of sightseeing trips if I attended a sales presentation. I would like to point out a case of harassment by yet an another service provider... A site called Cleartrip.com offers to book tickets for various airlines on internet for which they charge through credit cards. While making one such booking, there was an error at site clearly stating that the ticket was not booked and hence I re-booked the same. Stay away from Red Roof Inn. Particularly the one in Williamsburg, Virginia. We went for a vacation and checked out a day early. The bill was $247 and charged to a credit card for that amount. When I received the credit card bill, the amount billed by Red Roof Inn was $308. The corporate office refused to correct the charge saying it was the business of the franchise owner in Williamsburg. I have attended Seminar on SAP Road show on 22/02/2007 in Hotel shangri-La, New Delhi. The arrangement for lunch was also there. Under the Banner " Salad- Bar".. the non - veg food named "Salami" was also served, but nothing was written about this food whether its veg or non veg... later on i came to know about that the things i ate was non veg... i have never even touched the non veg through out my life. We consented to a 90 minute presentation that lasted 4 hours and consented to their vacation plan while in Playa del Carmen Mexico. However before we left - 5 days later - decided this was not for us. It cost us almost $1500 for this foolish mistake. We did get out but at that price. They said there was NO get out clause. This past weekend ( Feb. 9-10) I had to go to a hockey tournament for my daughter. The team had to book before we got the schedule, and the days inn has a policy that teams are to book for 2 nights minimum. Had booked 4 nights at the Essex House through Hotels.com (Expedia). My stay there was very unsatisfactory. The hotel room was worn and dirty, the staff was rude and unpleasant, the mechanics of the building kept falling apart, I had to make several phone calls and wait 4 hours to get a mini bar opened. Cheap trips is a scam. First they coerced me into a membership through false promises of another product. I think it was an I pod or something (I know I'm an idiot). Then they make you wait for a package for your password. Once I got the password I logged on discovered they really just forward you to reputable sites like orbitz for there good fares. Whenever I travel by Bus of KSRTC particularly in long distance routes to Chennai some lady conductors don't return the remainder of change when say Rs500 or Rs1000 are tendered for the purchase of ticket of values say Rs 300 etc. They scribble at the back of the ticket, but at the end of the journey they refuse the dues from the company. I booked a holiday with Broads Travel, when we arrived at the destination the hotel apartment that Broads Travel booked was not what we expected there where broken items in the hotel room, also burns in the carpet and stains on curtains.
