I took out a loan while i was attending Axia College of University of Phoenix( online) 2010. The loan was for 9500. I was paid 1228. from the loan as funds earned by the student. The other portion of the loan 8285. was sent back to the Direct loans because i withdrew. HBSC is a totally disreputable institution. I have an HBSC Best Buy Credit card with 18 months no interest program. First they added credit protection without my authorization which cost more monthly than the interest on the outstanding balance. My minimum payment was $20 per month and I paid $25 per month on the same day every month. When I ordered the 14.99 chef basket, I was charged at the end of the transaction 55.17. I immediately attempted to cancel the order. I got the "run-around, " so I decided to put a hold on my credit card for over a month. Again, I cancelled the order and I figured I was in the clear, so I reactivated my credit card. I have been trying since Sept 29, 2010 to have my Samsung refrigerator ice maker repaired. Abusive sales phone calls - then to get rid of we agreed to purchase a couple of items that never came. The collection departement started calling to collect to find our products were delivered somewhere else. They don't care - and want the money. After they were no longer needed we found them at a neighboring location. We no longer need them - they wouldn't take them back and have harassed endlessly by phone calls, seven in one evening. I've also had a problem receiving a refund for a product that I was first told was in stock and then told was on backorder. The order was placed last summer and I finally canceled it in November 2010. I was told to wait 2-3 billing cycles on my credit card for the refund to show up. Our oil burning hot water furnace stopped working the night of Thursday Jan. 15th 2009 over here in East Greenbush, when temperatures were below 10 F.
