I received a $12.99 charge from Great Fun. Upon calling them, they indicated it was due to my having cashed a check from E-Campus for $8.25. I certainly would not be signing up for a travel plan and, why is this from E-Campus (with whom I have dealt with in the past and, yes, have had problems). We experienced a problem with Optimum when we were misinformed by an Optimum Representative in regards to billing and payments. We were under the impression that we had an additional 2 days to make our payment of 160. This organization sends out email promotions stating they have recieved a grant for reimbursment of certian tuition cost from the California "Employment Training Panel" (ETP). These reimbursments are for training classes in "Home Energy Performance" and certifications needed to be a qualified Home Performance Contractor. The training and instruction is very good. This company began calling me yesterday claiming we had an unpaid inovice for some online advertising. They played a verbal authorization of the invoice that had obviously been edited to say what they wanted. The questions were strangley worded and still didn't exactlyfit the context of the anwsers. They cannot produce a proof of the advertisment and claimed they had IT problems and could not fax or email an invoice. Today they faxed an invoice, but no proof of the advertisment. This is an awful way to get educated I attended online at Everglades University for one month, withdrew, which was one class, and now being charged for a whole semester, the financial aid told me it was in the paperwork that if quit I would be billed for the whole semester, I have been since noted permanetly disabled through my doctor, and state and found to be unable to return to school or work. I purchase a Samsung Rogue with 2 year contract on 2/23/10. At that time I purchased the Asurion Verizon Total Equipment Coverage for $8.00 per month. The policy claimed, total equipent coverage, no deductibles, and free overnight shipping. On May 21 the Rogue touch screen went black so I called the insurance. Ordered NAS online configured from site. A couple of weeks went by, and nothing. Called NASHQ and spoke to a Jason Isett, who said it was being configured and tested. I asked what was taking so long (most firms ship the same day or next day) and he was immediately very defensive. When he would not provide a ship date, or even an estimate, I made the decision to cancel the order. He said they charge 20% on all cancellations (and returns), and started getting abusive. This is a difficult merchant to deal with, and is likely a one man operation. I would recommend purchasing a NAS elsewhere. His references said he was the best so I went ahead and did it. I paid him and he told me he would be back in a week to do the job. He did not contact me or pick up his phone for 2 weeks and then came over without announcing and I let him start working. Then, I thought I should replace my 9 year old power supply and they had a really cheap one for $12.99 with $8.00 shipping. I should have known better!
