I purchased a notebook PC in 01/07 that came with a 1 year factory warranty. Close to the end of my factory (01/08) warranty, I was advised by an HP associate my options on purchasing a 1 yr or 2 yr extended warranty. I was told that the 1 year warranty did not include accidental coverage (water spills, dropping and breaking the notebook etc.) but the 2 year warranty did. My husband bought from Walmart an RCA DVD/VCR Player/Recorder with the capability of bleeping out the bad language in movies and regular television in 2007 for me for Christmas. I was so excited that I would be able to take my old VHS movies and transfer them to a DVD with this unit. I recieved the 2100 for Xmas in 2006, with a free traffic for life feature. It was purchased in Nov, therefore the 30 day from reciept had expired. After a long and arduous ordeal, my traffic was installed. It worked for 3 months at a time. I sent the thing back 5 times for repair for this traffic thing that never really worked properly. This time it came back with no traffic anymore. You can't call them anymore. They have deactivated their phone. You have to go online and submit an email. You have got to be kidding me! We ordered thousands of dollars worth of non-PC based DVR's with cameras. The order was originally sent to the wrong place but fine we got over that.After the equipment arrived a year had passed and apparently our warranty had ran out, fine. Months ago I sent cell for cash 3 used phones for them to purchase. Never heard from them again! I tried emailing them with no response. I then tried emailing the corporate office. My email was returned invalid email! There is no phone number on thier website to call. I have since submitted a claim with the better business bureau. On May 14, 2009. My cell was stolen/lost. I called Tmobile on that day to stop service, and I went to file police report that the phone was lost. I put in claim with Asurion. After a 24 review, they claim was denied because they said I turned service off on May 18, 2009, which was false. I tried to download Macromedia Flash program and an accessory to make it run faster but I could not get it to work on my computer. After several attempts, I asked someone that knows more about computers than I do and I was told that my computer does not have enough mega bites. I have 3 phone lines with T-Mobile. I placed a special alert on my account restricting any purchases on my account unless its me coming into the store with valid ID to make any changes to my account. They allowed my daughter to place new phone orders 3 times. I had to call in and cancel twice the third transaction went through! Although there is a restriction in place. I purchased a Gigabyte motherboard from Newegg in November 08 which had a $20 rebate. Still have not received it after numerous calls. After doing research that I should have done before buying a Gigabyte product I've found that this is not uncommon with them. Also I've found that if I have to do an RMA, I may or may not get the board back. I filed a complaint with the BBB. I purchased a Compaq Notebook PC on 4/13/07. I had to take it to be repaired by the 3rd month, and the notebok was keep in the repair shop for about 4 months. After I finally got it back, it was not working so I had to take it back to Conns and it was sent again for repair. I purchase a kenmore upright vacuum and the belt keeps shredding and I take it back to Sears and they send it in for repairs and when I get it back and toake it and use it a couple of times the belt shreds again I've taken it in severaly time until me warranty ran out. In 2/07 I purchased a Mag Innovision MA-32EF1AC 32' LCD tv manufactured 1/07 from Staples. The TV ceased to function last friday after doing a channel scan and then powering down the set. Since then, the set will not power on properly, but instead will power on and produce a humming noise but no display and no response to button input. I purchased an LG TV from Video Only in 2008. The panel went out 10 months after purchase and LG eventually issued a Return Authorization letter. I took the letter and the TV back to the Federal Way Video Only where the purchase was made and was informed that Video Only doen't honor manufacturer RA's from LG. We bought a Dvd Player Model DPA08055D to use in our car on vacation. The sound on it is so poor that you cannot hear the movie at all. After numerous calls, I forwarded the unit to their Repair facility in Pa. An annual renewal fee was charged to my credit card without my permission. Upon discovering this charge I called Webroot and was referred to an email address (a real person could not be reached). I sent an email requesting a refund and a couple of days later I received a response saying that they do not issue refunds. The antivirus software that this company offers is ineffectual and my computer nearly crashed. Of course I understand I have the choice to switch to another company which I did. However, in trying to do so, the screen would block me at a certain point and I would have to begin all over again before the renewal was accepted and Norton was updated.
