I signed a contract with this company on May 16th 2006 and gave them a 50% deposit on shutters that were supposed to be installed 4 weeks from the date of entering into contract with the company. DO NOT PURCHASE GE appliances. They are nothing but aggravation. I purchased all new GE appliances when we built our house 5 years ago. I purchased a 275L Luxury SF Refrigerator from Arvee Sales Agencies, New Delhi in Jan 2004 which stopped cooling promptly after its warranty period of one year in Jun 05. I paid for its servicing and have been paying Rs 1230 every year during summers since the timer, despite being "Made in USA", has a warranty of three months and lasts exactly a year. I am not able to find a single Gas agency that will provide me with a new Gas connection without selling the Stove. They are charging Rs. 3600 for a new Gas connection with the stove. Insinkerator corroded and flooded under the sink. This happened after 2 years. I see full of hard water stuff in it. Fortunately when I called insinkerator they were nice to send me the newer model i.e stainless steel tank with out any charges. I guess they are very considerate in that sense. Or they are aware of this problem. I read somewhere on the web they have recalled some of the models because of similar problem and electrical hazard. I had Procraft apply their liquid siding to a house in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. They told me that it would water proof the house and eliminate my need for paint. I had some damage to the inside due to the TyVeck failing. It looked wonderful the first year and dried the inside of the house to where there was little damage to fix. After purchasing heal a seal product and using as directed in their booklet, the product would not fix the issue, a leaking cylinder head gasket. I emailed them for help as advertised and they will not respond to my emails. The product has not worked and looks like they are trying to get out of refunding money if it does not fix the issue. I was given a Kitchen Aid slow cooker for Christmas. Sometime after the third time I used it, I noticed debris inside the cooker when I removed the liner. Examination revealed tiny cracks in the ceramic liner. The next few times I used the cooker, the number and size of the cracks increased. Company gave an estimate of over $400.00 just to open a hole in the ceiling necessary to repair/replace waste pipe (additional $1000). We then hired another master plumber who, with a helper, cut a 10" square hole in the ceiling, did exactly the same work in 45 minutes and charged us $350.00.
