Okay, I have read many experiences of the Kirby sales tactics and here are my solutions
1. If you want one go on ebay and buy one, the older ones like the Sanitronic and The Classics are still good vacuums. And 2000 dollars for the Sentria? Try 800 on ebay.
2. If you already have a kirby just simply tell the salesperson you do
3. If that doesnt work say you've worked for the company before and you know what he/she is trying to do
4. If that doesnt work just simply tell them "If you do not vacate my property willingly I will call the authorities and have them do it for you" read full review »
A & E Factory
A & E Factory a warranty company for Whirlpool are incompetent, unprofessional and rude. A total of 5 appointments and still my 1 1/2 year old Whirlpool dishwasher doesn't work. On two occasions the tech just didn't bother to show. When I called to find out where he was I told the tech's supervisor removed him from the route. WHAT! and that means??? I purchased my Home Theatre Seating in 2007 and Mr. Divine from the Rockville, MD Marlo Furniture Center was the person who coordinated this sale. Initially, we were promised to get our seating in 2-3 weeks but finally when the item was delivered it was close to 3 months after I had paid for the furniture. Filed dispute w/ cc company as per agreement with vendor. Paid 1 charge, but disputed the 2nd charge (was still awaiting the item & order to be filled). Vendor agreed to wait for dispute reversal (to insure the item was received);

Kenmore / Dryer 800
I purchased a kenmore 800 dryer in December 07. The buzzer would go off but the clothes were still all damp. The repairman came and replaced the heat panel. The dryer would still go off and the clothes were damp. Apparently the moisture sensor is highly sensitive so as soon as one article of clothing is dry, the dryer shuts off. Great design, right? They said I need to experiment with different amounts of clothes till I get it just right. My 16 year old Kenmore dryer used to shut off when the clothes were dry. Me and about 33 people here in Port St Lucie is experience the problem trying to get our Pool completed. They are not returning our call. They closed the office in Port St Lucie & Palm Beach. Sears "Elite" Dryer
I just paid $271 to repair my Sears "Elite" Evenheat Dryer. Several months ago I received a card stating there is a Class Action Law Settlement for the make and model that I have. This law suit was for a malfunction of the "Electronic Control Board" . The deadline to respond was Jan. 16, 2008. My dryer malfunctioned on Jan. 13th, 2008. I have bought a fridge and a stove from our fellow here... they set me up for the delivery today... after waiting and calling them they finally arrived... at 5:30 pm... very nonchalant they announced me they could not complete the delivery because there is snow in front of the building... about 10 cm... My mother ordered a Temper-pedic bed from Mancini's Sleep World in San Francisco with the lifts and the sales guy was great worked with her and everything. When the delivery guys came to set it up, they refused to raise the legs on the bed saying it was unnecessary, but due to back problems, supplied no relief. My father in turn called the manager resulting in a huge fight. Finger Furnitre
Do not shop at Finger Furniture! They will take your money and you will have to fight to get your product. My husband and I paid cash for a living room set (sofa, loveseat, chair, and ottoman) in Nov of 2007. We were told some of the items were not in stock, but coming in 10 days and given a delivery date. The items didn't come in nor were we notified, until we called to confirm delivery. On Tuesday 01-29-08 while I was cooking with my4yr old kenmore stove our circuit breakers shut off and the stove was off my husband went down stairs to turn on the breaker, and there was a huge blue flame that lilt the back of our stove. We realized that 2 wires blew off the back of the stove. Our house could of caught on fire. My husband and I want a new stove.

On August 26,2008 . I purchased a sofa bed( After months of B/S they delivered it December 01,2007), coffee table and two end tables and a bedroom set. Martha Stewart Hydrangia Butter Dish
I purchased a MARTHA STEWART HYDRANGIA BUTTER DISH on Ebay. It was new in the box, never opened. The company states that the butter dish is dishwasher safe and made from twice-fired stoneware for durability. The first time I washed it in the dishwasher it turned brown on one side. This makes me not want to buy any more Martha Stewart products. Has anyone else had a similar experience with this particular butter dish? I would like to know if you have.

Quality carpet cleaners did not show up at our house for 2 appointments. I waited around for 4hrs each day and no one called and said they were not coming. I called the company and they said " the technician had been there and left because no one answered the door " this is not true i was sitting there waiting for them. They repeated the address to me which was correct. And then said if i wait another 2 to 3 hrs that someone would be there and no one came... i will never use them again and i encourage everyone out there to not do so as well. Worst company ever. I purchased a mattress set accompanied with a headboard and foot board set on 1/6/08. My order was set for delivery on 1/9/08. I received a call on 1/8/08 stating that the bed would be delivered on 1/9/08 but without the accompanying headboard/foot board set due to manufacturer backorder. Northwest Inspection Engineers NIE
Northwest inspection Engineers failed to identify multiple and obvious home defects that have resulted in the loss of literally tens of thousands of dollars. Hiring them to perform the pre purchase inspection was a life changing event. Even though these inspectors are professional engineers, they performed at a level that has shocked subsequent inspectors who were hired to evaluate the defects. Inspectors are not expected to catch everything, and certainly not hidden defects. However, the stuff these men missed would be obvious to even a lay person. Baldwin Brass Hardware has redesigned (cheapened) some or all of their brass bathroom accessories. The Edgewater Series is one I know for sure has had this make-under and probably all of the so-called 'solid brass hardware' bathroom fixtures. They are no longer solid brass. Sears / HE5 Front Load Dryer
I purchased a sears front load HE5 dryer. They have a metal plate on back that looks like it is rusting. I have had this dryer less than a month. I found two friends that have dryers made by Whirlpool which is actually Kenmore. They have the same problem. The service technician said the plate is not rusting but the temperature is so hot its burning the plate. They use to coat the metal plate in white or black but they stopped doing it. He said there is no way to order the part with the white or black coating. The technician said he is not aware of any coloring coming off on the clothes. read full review »
Lowe's Quartz Kitchen Countertop
I gave cash up front to Lowe's for a quartz kitchen counter top. The product was flawless, but the installation was incompetent. I have been trying to get it resolved since March 25th and it is now June 18th. After paying $3500 they will correct the mistake if I pay them $500 more. I was looking for a nice bedroom set for sometime and finally found one at the place. I dealt with a nice salesman and I decided to purchase the entire set and left my deposit. The furniture was delivered and on the surface looked to be ok. After further examining the pieces there were scratches and chips on numerous spots. Our Kenmore Elite clothes washer had a pump go out after 3 years of use and we were charged $201.25 to have it replaced. I understand that the warranty has passed and I was not expecting it to be repaired at no charge but $201.25!!!! I contacted Sears and was told those are the charges have a nice day. I am in the same boat as the two other complainants on this site. My DCS stove has not worked properly for more than a year. The simmer burners have been fluttering for longer than that, and now the ignition system never stops clicking as long as a burner is turned on. It is maddening. Also, the burners are advertised as being sealed. Yet, there is not a single gasket between them and the stove top. Kenmore Gas Range
I have a Sears Kenmore Gas Range Model 790 which we purchased end of 2005. I just used the self-clean option for the first time last night. (I wipe the oven quite frequently & place foil-covered pan under items to catch drips). I went into the kitchen after a couple of hours and found that the knobs for the stove had melted... one is unusable and two others are barely usable.

My wife and I purchased a 3-piece upholstered couch set from Prestige for $2,000.00. For about $250 more we also purchased an extended 5 year manufacturer's warranty. We thought that would cover us. Boy, we were wrong. A&E Factory Service / Kitchen Aid
A&E was called to repair a KitchenAid microwave and oven unit that stopped functioning. They are recommended for service by KitchenAid on their web site. The technician said I needed a new control board. He ordered one (which cost $600), it came (marked "refurbished") and he promptly installed it and the oven and microwave unit worked again. I have reported Ashley to BBB; so please do so, if you have similar problems with them. I bought a sofa and loveseat from Ashley for $1140; they delivered it damaged, but my wife did not notice it when she accepted the delivery. One arm of the loveseat was heavily damaged.
